Irkutsk diagnostic center is always implements different administrative and management technologies, which contribute to the constant improvement medical aid. They are: business process reengineering, benchmaring, PDCA cycle, personnel management system, logistics, innovative management.

For 5 year intensive work IDC developed critical principles:

2. Balance among social, medical and economic efficiency;
3. Tîp management responsibility for medical service quality;
4. Maximal satisfaction of the patients' needs;
5. All staff involvement in the centre management;
6. Continuous improvement of the processes;
7. Innovation.

A unique informative system that unites all spheres of the center activity into one informative space has been developed and implemented in the center. The electronic patient's medical card/record allowed to refuse from paper record. All information of more then 300 000 patients is kept in on-line database. Protocols, graphs, photographs and other images of different examinations are also stored and available for each physician of the center. Modern TV-medical technologies and digital cannels of communication (IP, ISDN) allow to give long distance consultations concerning the patients with the most difficult diseases, who are cured in famous Russian clinics and all over the world in off-line and on-line regime (more than 300 TV consultations have been given for 3 years). IDC information system can also be called as «electronic nervous system».

The system of general quality management has been introduced in the Irkutsk diagnostic centre. Active work on standardizing of the examination process according to the international standards is in progress. IDC introduced «Policy of high quality service» which declares critical principals of medical services providing.

The department of management and estimation of quality, which prerogative is an estimation and quality control, is the first kind ever founded in medical institutions of Russia.
